Dealing with Item Upgrades (new feature in 5.1)

With the new feature of Item Upgrades, where you spend Justice or Valor Points to increase the stats on a piece of your gear by a few points, it is another avenue for Rawr to optimise our gear.

I was wondering if the Rawr team has plans on how to incorporate this into the optimisation. The way I see that it could be included was that you could provide the number of justice and valor points have available to the solver, and it would figure out which item/s would be best to use the points on.

I was wondering if any of the developers had comments on implementing this feature, on whether it would be possible, and how difficult it would be to include it?

Also, is there a workaround that us users can do for the meantime to account for upgraded gear?

The best workaround is to manually edit the item to update it to its new values when you upgrade it.
