Smart spell switching?

I have been playing around with the Moonkin dps spreadsheet and the smart spellswitching option, but as such, I have been wondering what exactly it does. Does it mean you need to use the other spell than in your max dps rotation to proc eclipse, or keep using the spell in your max dps rotation and when eclipse procs switch to the appriopate spell?

By default, Rawr.Moonkin continues casting your max dps rotation.  When it predicts an Eclipse proc, it switches to the other spell.  The smart spell switching option switches spells when the Eclipse internal cooldown is up, attempting to force a proc of the buff for your max dps rotation.  There is currently no support for the new theory of alternating spell casts when the Eclipse cooldown is up, but there may be in the future if the theorycrafting works out.
