2.3.5 release request

Once recovered from any New Year Hangovers can we have a new build released please. Say for Sunday 3rd Jan 2010?

Can I also suggest that we look at the idea of having a fortnightly release of Rawr so we get new fixes out to users more frequently. Sunday releases seem to suit Astrylian so perhaps every second Sunday? It may also be a good idea to have a more frequent Rawr 3 updates too so that we can really get this up to speed and aim to have a general release at some point in 2010 :)

 

Oh and Happy New Year to you all, it's already 2010 here and coming to the east coast of the US in just under 85 minutes.

Would love a release soonish actually, as I found a bit of a nasty/stupid bug that crept in a couple commits ago with Deep Wounds getting broken and only doing 1/3rd the threat it was supposed to... Go go copy and paste... ><

Yeah, lets do it a bit sooner. Release will be midnight tomorrow night, check in by 11:59 PST, Friday Night. That's like 1day 3.3hr from now.

A thought....every time I open Rawr it lists the versions for each module and the versions for each are always the same.

Is Rawr 3 intended to be more modular?  So that, say, the Mage dev can release his next version today on his own without a full release?  Or will all the versions be forever tied in to each other and part of a full package distro?

Yeah, that's a relic of a long time ago; individual version numbers are removed in Rawr3. Due to its design, it's much easier/quicker for us to push out new versions, so they'll be much more frequent (at least, I hope so).

So I've got the new build, ready to go, except for one thing:

ebs changed the proc rates on Berserking and Executioner from 1.2PPM to 1.0PPM and 1.25PPM to 1.0PPM, respectively. I'd tested these back in 3.2 to verify them, but perhaps he knows something's changed. So, I'm sitting in Darnassus, whacking on a target dummy right now, testing proc rates.

Grr... So our tests are... inconclusive. With an hour for each, on both Gwin and I, we got...

Mongoose: 64 and 82

Berserker: 65 and 63

Executioner: 74 and 59

 

Hmm.

EDIT: Gunna go with 1.0PPM for all 3, and try to perform more extensive tests soon.

You're also welcome to download and compile the source at your leisure - it's easier to do than you might think.

I already test to compile the source but without success :/

I'm not a programmer, I don't really know how to do.
