Release Notes

- Fixed a significant performance issue that was introduced in v2.3.4, and affected most models, but especially Cat. Sorry about those multi-hour optimizations for a build there.
- Improved and clarified the wording on a variety of error messages throughout Rawr to try to be more helpful.
- Many models now have better support for proc'd direct damage special effects (ie, chance on hit to deal 5000 fire damage, etc).
- Improved filters to include ICC bosses. Some bosses whose items come from chests are still problematic, but there's at least something there now.
- Added support for Black Magic in several models. IMPORTANT! Please note however that for models which allow dual weilding, Black Magic does not stack, and Rawr doesn't know this yet. It may show dual-Black Magic as the optimal weapon enchants, but really you should only enchant one weapon with it in that case. We're working on a fix for this.
- Improved handling of PvP gear filtering and source parsing.
- Fix for downloading talent images from the Armory.
- Adjusted the proc rate of Berserking and Executioner to match recent testing.
- Rawr.Warlock: WARLOCKS! The big stream of updates has finally began! Rebuilt the combat priority queue. All spells, talents, and glyphs should have the correct damage, coefficients, multipliers, and effects, updated for 3.3. 2T10 implemented. Improved stat display. Added support for the missing spell crit debuff. Added several default talent specs. Cleaned up the options panel.
- Rawr.Mage: Improved support for 2T10 to match the latest testing. Slight fix for haste calculations. Improved graph support.
- Rawr.Tree: Fixes and improvements for mana restore effects. Slight fix for WG healing value.
- Rawr.DPSDK: Remodelled Cinderglacier, improved handling of damage done-triggered special effects, and tweaked various ability calculations to match in-game testing. Improved valuing of hit and expertise based on their affect on your rotation. Fix for offhand OB hits not procing rime. Fix for parsing of Sigil of the Hanged Man.
- Rawr.Cat: Added handling for Victor's Call, and similar recursive special effects.
- Rawr.Hunter: Fix for a bug with changing pet options.
- Rawr.RestoSham: Fix for Shard of the Flame.
- Rawr.Healadin: Fix for Shard of the Flame.
- Rawr.DPSWarr: Fix for a performance issue with the optimizer and multiple ArPen trinkets. Fixed an issue with sword spec not procing if you only have white attacks selected. Added rage and glancing from sword spec. Added several more default talent specs. Improved tooltips on several of the stats on the Stats tab.
- Rawr.Rogue: Did a bit of cleanup to the options panel.
- Rawr.Enhance: Fix for an export to EnhSim issue. Slight fix for ED and fire totem uptimes.
- Rawr.TankDK: Fix for saving and loading of options tab data. Fix for parsing of Sigil of the Hanged Man. Fix for handling of recursive special effects.
- Rawr.ProtPaladin: Fix for a rare chart crash.
- Rawr.ProtWarr: Improvements to proc triggering chances. Several fixes for Deep Wounds calculations. Improved handling of partial talent specs, leading to better values on the talent point comparison chart.

Seems to be alot of issues with warlocks. won't set dps for pets, i find that i use older version still just for locks, but for other classes seems to do really well.

Use it for all gear and spec decisions, rawrmage is probably my second most used program on my pc trailing only WoW.

Great work!

Long time Rawr user and an excellent update. Many thanks to all the developers and any one else helping maintain this program - keep up the great work! Btw, I use this on Vista 64bit, and it works perfect.

this version does not work for Windows Vista for some reason. Every time I try to use it, I get the error message from Windows, "Rawr has stopped working."

Was frustrated with how things were getting arranged, gear did not look properly ranked, after crunching numbers I see that rawr is correct. So I say WTF Blizzard, why is the first tier of frost lower than T9 with Trophy?

i have been using this mod since ulduar came out but to be honest this version isnt working right for me.... this thing is trying to tell me my tier 8.5 is better than my tier 10 stuff... some changes and repairs need to be made before i go back to using this.... o well back to number crunching.... good free program was very useful before

Been using rawr for quite some time now. It's updated frequently and is a life saver for those who don't enjoy spending a lot of time in a spreadsheet. To those complaining that some modules aren't kept as up to date the rest. You can always volunteer to help.

People QQ'ing about this program are utterly selfish whiners. As someone else mentioned below, it's FREE. If you don't like it, make your own software or use a spreadsheet. Otherwise, shut up and get on with it.

The sole purpose of giving one star for this great program is the lack of updates and support for Holy Paladins. Ignoring Such things as Tier Bonuses for months! The last update was after another One of Five rating. Well, if that's what drives you...

For some gear slots, rawr wants me to gear for spell power as an enh sham. For trinkets, it lists Figurine - Sapphire Owl and Spark of Life as some of the top 10 in terms of upgrades. Those trinkets are blue ilvl 200.... Yeh fix it ok

Just one thing I gotta mention bout it, it is saying my relic - Relic of crying moon is not as good as the Relic of mutilation... Relic of mutilation = 200 agi, relic of crying moon = 220 when its at full stacks which takes 19 seconds roughly and is up basically 100% of the time on a boss fight. Also, is the armor penetration priority on this right? I heard its really good for kitty druids mostly.

2 stars because i am a warlock of course :P, BUT i used the previous versions so much i will be checking back every day just to catch the update. This program is the greatest FREE tool that is available. I cannot complain about this FREE program just because it is not always perfect. I will be very happy when the warlock model works again. Keep up the great work, and did i mention FREE?

FIX DK'S SCOURGE STRIKE, you haven't even changed it to reflect how it currently is...please fix this for next time ><
by Zaalin on Jan 7, 2010 at 9:14 PM
this release is broken for warlocks... please fix
by trister on Jan 7, 2010 at 2:59 AM
2.3.5 Is horribly broken for warlocks.

Another great release that runs as smooth as can be. Just one thing that would really improve this product for me is the ability to upgrade the current version I have instead of re-downloading new files. This feature would really make it a seamless product. Thanks.

The programme is good. But the value of Deathbringer's Will still puzzles me a lot.
by FlankerWang on Jan 5, 2010 at 9:56 AM
Program is well done and extremely useful. Warlock bugs do need to be ironed out though.
by Vlad3060 on Jan 4, 2010 at 6:51 PM
Don't apologize for bugs from previous versions in your release notes. This is an excellent program and people should be happy it exists.
by Veszerin on Jan 4, 2010 at 6:23 AM
As always, this is the best tool for my mage. As far as I'm concerned, the warlock module should just be removed, as well as warlocks from the game.
by zwegan on Jan 3, 2010 at 6:08 PM
Re: Warlocks. In the discussion tab you admit there is still a problem with the Warlock option and major items like pet DPS and trinket info has still not been included. Why would you post an update you know is still bugged? FYI. It doesnt help anyone to try and use a program that doesnt work.
by HughKares on Jan 3, 2010 at 5:45 PM
It is significantly slower than the previous version on talent changes (add/removing points) and to parse the toon from Armory (*after* the "download" part is done). Also, the talent icons are like zoomed, as well as the some icons from the drop-down list (until you mouse over the "zoomed" icon)... It looks weird.
